When entering the site via the thick white “ringmure”, (which also shows direction), my first experience was one of freedom & relaxation. Thus I created a building which reflects these characteristics on entry, a building which engages with its beautiful surroundings, a building where phenomenology, the experience through one’s senses, are at maximum.
The two public spaces are connected through the main circulation route. Off these public spaces I designed my solid areas, which represents privacy. It is at these connections (open & enclosed, light & heavy) where the extruded relationship becomes apparent.
